EACH LESSON IS PRIVATE AND ONE-ON-ONE
Individual lessons are beneficial for students and more rewarding for teachers. When I know what a student needs I can then focus on achieving that particular goal. I can target my one-on-one lesson to produce more rapid results.
By spending more time with one single teacher, the student will receive a greater individualized learning experience.
In larger classes there are always students ahead and behind. The students that are behind, either become bored or frustrated. Either way those students do not receive the instructions they need to succeed in speaking English effectively.
There is definitely more interaction with one-on-one learning. You have to participate since it is only you and the
me.
Lessons are more hands-on and you have to use the time wisely. It is different from a meeting with a professor about an independent study project.
It is very flexible, you can do your work when you want to and you are not limited to a Monday-Friday schedule. You can also do more independent
thinking. You are not told what to think or what is right.
There is also a very strong student-teacher relationship, which can open the doors to communication just by sitting down and talking.
